It’s been lost to the sands of time, but I once did an FTN style deep dive into the environmental movement. I was just covering one particular issue, that of the decline of the spotted owl. To make an incredibly long story short, there was a fake environmental panic over the endangerment of the Northern Spotted Owl in Oregon in the early 90’s. The bird was going extinct, and remains going extinct, but the claim was that these filthy working class loggers were the cause of the problem, due to their holocausting of old growth forests.
In reality the Northern Spotted Owl was simply being outcompeted by the Barred Owl, a different type of spotted owl subspecies. The environmentalist “solution”, shutting down logging on public lands, was actually done to put money in the pockets of (((financial companies))). The Northern Spotted Owl numbers have continued to drop precipitously, but mainstream propagandists don’t pretend to care, because they already got the dual purpose of fucking over working class White Men out of well paying jobs while putting money in their owners pockets.
Manulife was featured prominently.
All of which brings us to the tire slashers for global warming.
A group claiming to be environmental activists is taking responsibility after the tires of dozens of SUVs were flattened overnight in Kitchener, Ont.
Waterloo regional police say they’ve received more than 30 reports of property damage to SUVs parked in driveways in the Glasgow Heights and Stanley Park areas of Kitchener.
Police say the suspects left notes on windshields stating: “Your gas guzzler kills.”
“We do find this rather concerning, especially with the messages that were left on the vehicles,” said Cst. Andre Johnson, with Waterloo Regional Police Service.
The tires were deflated using a device that made them slowly leak overnight, police say.
The incidents are believed to have occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 17.
In an email to CTV News, a group who identifies themselves as “Tyre Extinguishers” claims they flattened the tires of 60 SUVs in multiple locations across Waterloo region.
The group says their goal is to ban SUVs from urban areas and calls the vehicles “climate disasters.”
“We’re taking this action because governments and politicians have failed to protect us from these huge vehicles. Everyone hates them, apart from the people who drive them,” the email said in part. “We want to live in towns and cities with clean air and safe streets. Politely asking and protesting for these things has failed. It’s time for action.”
Weird. I am in the set of everyone, I don’t drive an SUV, and yet I don’t hate them or the people who do. What could possibly explain this discrepency?
The group noted they are aware the inconvenience the deflated tires will pose for drivers
“We know people will be frustrated, upset, and/or very angry at us. Unfortunately, we do not have any time to waste in reducing our emissions. The people whose tires we have deflated will be inconvenienced, but ultimately, will be able to get around by using public transit, walking, or cycling like so many other residents of the Waterloo Region do,” Tyre Extinguishers said.
Modern day “environmentalists.”
Environmentalism started as a rural movement that was opposed to corporate power. As one example, uncovered during my investigation into the Oregon Owl Fiasco, the term “sustainability,” didn’t used to be bullshit. When big logging corporations came around they have every incentive in the World to strip mine an area of every single tree, and then move on to the next location, like locusts. This is devastating for the local communities. This puts their towns through a boom and then bust cycle, where instead of logging being a boon to their town, they get massive numbers of new people moving into their area, which causes huge social problems. Businesses get started in the boom times, only to get shuttered when the area has been fully stripped of loggable trees.
As a result, the formerly rural and formerly real environmental movement talked about sustainability, because they wanted harsh limits on logging to prevent that sort of thing. They didn’t want no logging, they wanted sustainable logging. And again, not in some bullshit, vague, “muh global wahming,” nonsensical justification. They wanted very tangible policy that would benefit everyone.
Modern day environmentalists are just antifas. These are spiteful mutants that no one likes, who go around stabbing the tires of SUV owners. Many people have SUV’s to transport their children to and fro, but these mutant losers don’t have any children, and neither do any of their friends. An SUV is the representation of normalcy that they hate so much and it causes them to go into a vengeful rage.

Not to piss on the parade, but “device that slowly deflates tires” means they probably just popped something on the valve stems that would hold them open. Kinda ruins the fun I was about to have calculating the waste of all those destroyed tires.
