The basic ZOGbot serves a role one step above the trash mob. They’re fairly easy to deal with one on one, which allows them to be sprinkled into almost any encounter. Fitting of their role as a low-mid threat, they borrowed the flanking/massing behaviour from the trash mobs, while also getting the semi-leading shots taken from the militarized police. The result is a simple enemy that can still overwhelm the player with reasonable numbers.
The lawyer and the chabad occultist both lacked enough depth, so I rolled them into one character.

The main “threat” is still them running around and shielding all their allies, but they got a few other abilities. First, the cultist kept his main spell with some tweaks. This will be spawned at the player’s feet if they’re not moving enough.
He can also spawn in a bunch of tiny enemies, in this case the sentient tumors, to chase after the player. When he’s not doing any of the above, he shoots a bunch of tracking projectiles at the player. I’m not thrilled with where he is, but he’s a hell of a lot better than where the lawyer and the cultist were individually.

Finally, I wasn’t happy with the Stone Golem. I didn’t like him firing projectiles from either a gameplay or flavour perspective. I was also thinking that, despite what I wrote last article, I really did like the Body Positive Bertha gameplay.
So I changed him from a Golem to a roided up G4P social media influencer. In short, he’s a beeftank with gobs of health and poise who chases after the player and forces them out of cover. However, because he skipped cardio, eventually his heart gives out, so if the player feels like it they can try to ignore him and save their shots for something else. I didn’t want to go through the rigamarole of editing a video for just him, so I made this gif of him being blown up the instant he starts leaping at the player.

No idea why it isn’t playing. Weird.
That’s the first pass through the enemies done.
