I’ve given talks at two Nationalist Media Conferences, the last about two months ago. In preparation, I wrote the equivalent of multiple articles for those presentations, then converted them into a powerpoint presentation. Much of the ground I covered, especially in the second conference, at least partially made its way into articles on this site, namely the ones on the Attract Mode, the lighting, gore, and other visual effects, and comedy in games.

However, I never got around to writing up the majority of my first talk, nor did I write enough about the conference itself. This was a disservice to the organizer, Meister Lect, who did great work organizing the conference. Even going so far as to write this lovely blurb for my talk, which becomes ever more relevant.

In an age of soulless game studios dumping millions of shekels to produce absolute triple-A slop, opportunity abounds for the indie game dev with a dream and a willingness to endure the many colourful varieties of bugs and bullshit that goes with game development.

Of course, no one who reads this site needs to be sold on the idea that the idea that the modern video game landscape is rainbow zionist slop that, even in an apolitical sense, is complete trash. Dustborn was so terrible that many neoliberalism enjoyers convinced themselves that it was an alt-right parody. Concord cost at least $100 million, notably featured “zero White male characters,” and zero players two weeks after launch. The new Dragon Age game had a stunning and brave talk about misgendering, before missing sales expectations by nearly 50%. IGN’s latest 10/10 is MixTape, a laughable non-game funded by Annapurna Interactive, headed by Megan Ellison, daughter of super zionist Larry Ellison.

In the days preceding my talk I saw Halo trending on twitter, and learned that Halo Studios, the new name for the universally loathed 343 Industries, was undergoing yet another round of layoffs. The natural result of them running a once beloved game series into the ground. As they were firing people, their official account tweeted multiple times about “Disability Pride Month”, which came hot on the heels of their regular, month long “Pride Month” signalling.

That was almost exactly a year ago, before they released Halo:Combat Evolved for the third time. That’s gone about as well as you’d expect, generating responses somewhere between loathing, apathy, and tepid applause. Even I, a huge Halo:CE fan, didn’t pay it enough attention to get down into the weeds with it. Those who did report that they broke much of the game.

Now I’ve played a good bit of Campaign Evolved, and I think the best way to describe this game is that it’s like Halo, but with a smoke detector that’s chirping at you every thirty seconds. The game is still good, because it’s Combat Evolved underneath. It’s one of the best games ever made. It largely has the same maps, the same story, the same gameplay. But every time I started to comfortably slip back into it something would happen and immediately remind me that something was wrong.

– Legendary Drops

The above quote is from Legendary Drop’s review of the game. Below is a much longer take from Consternation Evolved, going over some of the baffling changes to the enemy AI, level layouts, story beats, and other details.

Sales have been tepid. Although finding data for console sales is difficult, Steam purchases more than a week after launch are estimated at between 194k-338k, and the game has earned a paltry 63% like ratio. There’s no way they broke even developing a game in a series that used to be a license to print money.

How the mighty have fallen.

While Halo Studios 343 Industries might finally get the long overdue axe, Get Woke Go Broke is largely a myth. That’s not because the market enjoys poz. For every Baldur’s Gate 3, there are ten examples of this garbage losing hundreds of millions. The issue is that capitalism is fake, and the zionists in charge of the industry will happily subsidize their pet projects, often taking from the financially successful, yet non-ideological slop that they churn out on the regular.

EA has long been one of the most obnoxiously pozzed companies, inserting gay romances into their games in the mid aughts. Today they boast about their “People and Inclusive Culture,” with a special focus on PRIDE, “Multiculturalism and allies,” “Asian, Hawaian, and Pacific Islander group and allies,” “Hispanic and Latinx group and allies,” and their “Women’s group and allies.” It should go without saying that they have no White groups, or “allies” thereof.

The FC series used to be FIFA, but EA lost the license.

It should also be no surprise that they own three of the highest selling yearly releases in Madden, College Football, and Football Club. That’s the non-ideological bilge they churn out in order to subsidize Dragon Age: Veilguard, and other money losers.

Minecraft and Call of Zionism Duty serves the same role for Microsoft, who bought Activision Blizzard in 2022 for over $60 billion. Although COD is not quite a one to one parallel, as it also serves as trashy zio-military propaganda. Also, the latest installment was a financial failure, selling one sixth as many copies as BLOPS 6 in the month after launch, and almost certainly did not make back its estimated $700 million budget.

A truly cursed list.

There are limits to the drek that consumers will tolerate, but even the incompetent clowns at Microsoft will eventually stumble upon some working replacement. They may even manage to resuscitate Halo’s corpse, presumably after removing it from the clutches of 343 Industries and contracting third party studios to make a variety of games, similar to how Disney licenses Marvel, or how George Lucas used to license Star Wars. Whatever the case, once they have found their big ticket item they will proceed to bilk the consumer for every last shekel in order to subsidize My Two Pansexual Mulatto Mommies, a deep, meaningful IGN 10/10 interactive experience that costs $100 million to develop and sells fourteen copies.

Or at least, that’s the plan. Microsoft is so incompetent that they honestly might be the next Ubisoft, a company that has lost over 95% of its 2018 stock value, going from $24.00 per share, down to $0.83. Ubisoft’s last notable game release was Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, a broken disaster wherein you play as a homosexual Black ninja in feudal Japan. The game predictably bombed, and considering that they just cancelled one of their few upcoming releases, yet another Far Cry, it may be the last AAA release in Ubisoft’s history.

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios, while not in Ubisoft territory yet, continues shutting down entire studios, and laying off thousands at the few lucky enough to remain. The salvation of their games division comes in the form of a thirty seven year old ethnic Indian woman named Asha Sharma. She worked in the marketing department at Microsoft, then at a startup named “Porch,” was appointed COO of Instacart, and finally returned to Microsoft in 2024 as President of their “CoreAI” division. In short, she has zero industry experience, and there is little evidence she even plays games casually. Which is fine, because she’s more than qualified to fire Americans and replace them with Indian contractors and H1Bs, which is her actual job.

As this is Weimerica, she was recently appointed to an advisory role with the US Federal Reserve, serving on the “Productivity and Jobs” task force alongside (((Marc Andreessen))). You might wonder how she could be qualified, considering that she just fired a bunch of Americans, but to ask the question is to receive the answer.

Up until 2010 or so, the AAA games industry existed to make games. It was then transitioned into a jobs program for pronoun people. Now, ZOG is fed up with their anti-Israel uppityness, as well as general incompetence, so they’re transitioning the industry into a jobs program for Indians. They’ll still be cranking out slop and inserting zionist propaganda, although possibly of a slightly different flavour. Either way, the days of technically well made games for a Western audience are over.

But pointing out that the games industry refuses to serve the actual market is a bit like pointing out that politicians refuse to represent their constituents. Everyone already knows they’re beholden to special interest groups, contemptuous of the people they’re supposed to serve, and therefore that there exists a massive, yet ignored market. The hard part is actually doing something about it, since in both cases the solution is difficult, expensive, and the playing field in terms of publicity, financials, and even legality is far from even.

Luckily, despite the astonishing mismanagement, industry revenue continued growing through 2025, to a total market of $197 billion. More than half of that, $108 billion, is mobile, which I don’t really consider to be the same thing, and of the combined $90 billion from console and PC, much of that is gacha type stuff. So it’s hard to estimate how big the real games industry is, there’s no question there exists massive opportunity here, so much so that it becomes obligation.

To a large extent, culture is downstream from politics. But not entirely, and we can only fight the battles we are equipped to fight. For now, this is mine, and much of the point of the Nationalist Media Conference is to put us into contact with each other. The other benefit, at least for myself, is that giving a talk forces someone to understand their game on a deeper level, and I’ll be delving into that in the next part.
