Fox News:

Former NFL great and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Florida for failing to register as a sex offender, according to court records.

Taylor, 62, allegedly didn’t tell authorities he changed addresses, which sex offenders are required to do. He was reportedly released after several hours in police custody. He is charged with two felonies for failing to register as a sex offender, according to Broward County court records.

He was released on cash bond.

In a statement to Fox News, Taylor’s attorney, Arthur Aidala, claimed his client adhered to “all of the rules and regulations regarding his legal status for the past decade.

“There is a large collection of military aged males that have been accumulated from all over the world into the geographical region in which I reside by a billionaire. Soon, they are going to be utterly destroying the international collection of military aged males that a billionaire has congregated in your geographical region. And you will be greatly humiliated.”

In case you were wondering, why Taylor was on the sex offender list…

Yahoo News:

Taylor was added to the sex offender registry back in 2011 after pleading guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute. At the time, he had been accused to sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl. Taylor claims he was unaware of her age.

Taylor was born in 1959, which would have made him 52 years old when he was propositioning the 16 year old woman. And in case you think this one small misstep in an angelic life of good doing, well, from his own biography.

“I had gotten really bad. I mean my place was almost like a crack house,” said Taylor. “I’d go through an ounce a day. And at times I’d be standing in the huddle. And instead of thinking what defense we were playing I’d be thinking about smoking crack after the game.”

And in case you thought it was just crack and being a perv, he has an arrest list a mile long, including such luminary acts as assaulting a taxi driver. Seriously though, imagine having a society where you didn’t have such garbage people being put up as the supposed hero icons to young children.
