Communicate with them in those terms: “I’m writing on behalf of a media publication that is looking into hosts scrubbing sites of criticism of host-side technical performance under cover of political censorship. I wonder what your investors would think of this. By which I mean I wonder what YOU think of this. Unless it were resolved, of course.”
See if that puts the fear of God into them.
