On the eve of July Fourth – our annual celebration of American independence (and fireworks!) – pride in being an American has hit a record low in new Gallup polling.
Fewer than 4 in 10 – 38% – of adults said they were “extremely” proud to be Americans, the lowest ever measure by Gallup, which has been asking the question since 2001.
The 38% of proud Americans is well below the average of 55% since the question has been asked. In fact, prior to 2015, Gallup had never found those expressing “extreme” pride lower than 55%.
The decline in extreme American pride is due, in large part, to marked declines among Republicans and independents.
While Republicans are still the group most likely to express extreme pride in the country, that number is now down to 58% – a steep drop from the 75% who said the same in 2019.
Among independents, just 34% said they were extremely proud of America today, compared with 41% who said the same in 2019.
That number among Democrats actually rose marginally over the last three years – from 22% to 26%.
But, while this may be a challenging moment, the longer-term decline in trust in America – and the institutions that compose it – is not new.
We are in an era of declining trust in institutions – all institutions – that were once considered the bedrock of American society.
Gee I wonder why?
It always bothers me when people say that America is a third world country. However, second world country fits the bill pretty well.
How could you possibly be proud of Brazil 2.0? This country is a sick joke, and it’s been a joke for so long that it’s not even funny anymore. I don’t just mean all the tranny stuff, the nuclear energy hire being a dog fucking woman’s clothing thief, or even the garbage Hollywood product. Things like average everyday people getting poorer while the government sends hundreds of billions over to get stolen by ZOG in Ukraine, only to turn around and cancel food stamps, can only be done so many times before people quiet quit on a country.
And if anything, the CNN poll underscores just how over America really is.
In recent years, there has been a sharp decline in national pride among Generation Z (born after 1997) compared to the previous generation, according to the Morning Consult poll conducted earlier this month.
After the September 11 attack on the twin towers, a youth survey by the Harvard Public Opinion Project in 2001 found that 89 percent of American youth identified themselves as patriotic, naming Americans as the most patriotic people on earth.
In 2013, Americans born between 1981 and 1996, called Millennials, showed higher levels of national pride as 85 percent of Americans said they were “extremely or very” proud to be American.
Things barely slipped from 2001 to 2013 among young people.
“Compared with baby boomers, the net share of Gen Z adults who say they are proud to live in the United States is 57 percentage points lower,” Morning Consult reported.
The large gap in national pride between Gen Z and the Millennials shows most young Americans are reluctant to be associated with racist and nationalist ideas by identifying as patriots.
No, it shows that America is garbage. The country has no validity, and no one who is normal likes it. This also shows what a total dead end “muh American Patriotism/Nationalism,” is and always was, just like the Christian Nationalism garbage. It’s fine to be Christian of course, but churches in real life are closing at record rates, while homosexual LARPers bloviate about how important it is to be patriotic Christian Americans.
Also, I literally never heard these faggots mention the church burnings here in Canada, because that whole thing is a grift.
The poll refers to indoctrination happening in public schools across the country and calls it a deliberate attempt by the left to destroy American patriotism and replace it with their radical ideology.

The removal of American history and the push of the 1619 Project into the curriculum are cited as the most effective reasons for the fall in national pride.
This article is all over the place, but it’s almost right on this point. No one cares about specific things like “the 1619 project,” but institutional anti-Whiteness is absolutely a major contributor to the downfall of patriotism. If you’re a White Person in this country and you’re patriotic, you’re just pathetic, and we’re getting to the point where this is just openly acknowledged by people. That’s why the military is struggling as hard to recruit as they are to launch a hypersonic missile.
Since the dawn of the 21st century, the United States launched two major wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and got embroiled in numerous proxy wars in different countries.
None of that was for Americans and everyone knows.
Inflation has also surged in the US in recent years with prices climbing across many sectors of the economy, raising the cost of living.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, US consumer inflation accelerated to 9.1 percent in June 2022, the highest level in more than 40 years.
Electricity and natural gas prices also rose by 13.7 percent and 38.4 percent respectively for the 12-month period that ended in June.
According to Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, the typical American household now needs to spend $493 more per month to buy the same goods and services they did at this time last year.
The unemployment claims have also marked the biggest jump since May 2020 and are at their highest level in nearly a year.
Seemingly, every day new mass layoffs are being announced, especially in the tech sector. With a double-dip recession appearing likely, and perhaps prolonged, more job cuts are expected this winter.
Inflation, rise in the cost of living, unemployment, and debt all add to Gen Z’s belief that America is on a sharp slope downhill.
It’s a country, and it’s so obviously dying that politicians are running, and winning, on maybe doing something about the decline.
On the bright side, there are political advantages to living under such an illegitimate system.
Yeah, that’s it… the “left” is destroying patriotism, not the firing of the few rational, logical neurons still remaining in the american mind.
Everything is kosher long as the people keeps buying the fake dichotomy.

I love America, my family has been in America since it was just a colony. I think there is a difference between America the people, and the land, and the parasitic jew american government and leadership. White American patriots haven’t had pride in their kike government for at least 100 years if not more. For some it was the civil war, for others the establishment of the jewish federal reserve, but nobody who is “patriotic” and loves America loves our government unless they are just young and naïve. Still, we cannot help but have pride in our beautiful land and people. The USA is like a majestic tiger with a world record sized jewish tape worm inside it. But if we can just get some ivermectin we can actually shit the jew tapeworm out and still be a great nation.
Apparently if you tell a recruiter that you want to fight that’s enough to get you labeled an extremist now. Also it’s hilarious that they banned the Confederate flag and wonder why Southerners, who disproportionately make up combat arms, don’t want to join now. Go on the Army’s website right now, all the jobs with bonuses are in combat arms.
All that aside though, it is crazy to think that ten years ago I wad preparing to enter high school now and I figured that once I was done with University America would be out of our current slump and back on track. Boy was I wrong, it’s been nothing but total decline.
