Ukrainian Refugees of Colour Resettling in England

More than 700 Ukrainians have been given a place to stay in Gloucestershire under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

The government initiative allows UK residents to sponsor named Ukrainian nationals, with more than 1,000 applications received in the county.

Excel fled Ukraine when Russia invaded and said the Gloucestershire community has been “really helpful”.

Let’s take a look at these Ukrainian refugees that we’re getting.

You can see how hard the war is because this poor Ukrainian man has been forced to stay outside in the baking hot sun for so long that he’s tanned himself into an African.

Across the county, 327 properties have Ukrainian families living in them.

Excel left Nigeria, where he was born, to study to become a doctor but after settling in the Ukraine was displaced within the country when Russia moved in to Luhansk in 2014.

He said he planned to just go to west Ukraine with his wife and mother-in-law, but they were forced to keep going until he hit the Polish border, a journey that would normally take six hours, but ended up taking four days.

Excel, who worked as a gynaecologist and cancer specialist in Kyiv, has so far been unable to find work in the UK, but said that since moving near to Stroud, “everyone has been really friendly”.

There are times with clownworld where I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, this is the face of Ukrainian Refugees, according to the BBC. Second, they may well be right, as I would be shocked if they weren’t prioritizing non-White refugees. Third, this guy went to Ukraine to be come a doctor, because of course he did. Fourth, he couldn’t become a doctor because he was “displaced,” in the country, but then he becomes a doctor anyway. Fifth, he’s a gynacologist. Sixth, he has a dual specialty of being a “cancer specialist,” also known as an oncologist.

So is he actually a doctor, or is he just saying that because he wants to come to the UK? Is the rest of his story actually true? Does it even matter? 

The refugees you think you’re getting…

Believe it or not, I’ve actually had an enounter with a Ukrainian Refugee here in Canada. And not some old lady, we’re talking prime breeding age cunny. She was blonde, maybe died, and seemed very sweet. I say seemed because she spoke such little English that I couldn’t really get a bead on her. All I remember is that she was pretty, and very much not a Nigerian.
