I haven’t covered Latin American politics much at all on this site. I only had a vague idea of who Nayib Bukele was, and had him confused with another Latin American leader, Pedro Castillo of Peru. When I’m not writing about a subject that I am intimately familiar with I try my hardest not to overreact and shower any politician with praise, but from afar I had a positive view of Pedro Castillo. Similarly, Nayib Bukele appears to be doing a great job at least on some issues in El Salvador.
The latest survey by CID Gallup, released on February 2, 2023, reveals that 90% of Salvadorans think Bukele is doing a good or very good job as president. This 90% approval credits him as the best-evaluated president of all 13 Latin American leaders.
A clear example of this improved security is the country’s homicide rate. When Bukele took office in June 2019, El Salvador’s homicide stats were 6.6 murders per day and 36 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.
By 2021, the country’s homicide rate had been lowered to 3.1 daily murders and 17.5 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants; recent stats show that the country’s homicide rate will drop even more in 2022.
He had already more than halved the murder rate in the country after two years in office, due to a very well publicized war on crime that he was constantly derided for. For reference, the murder rate in Canada has increased in recent years, which is scandalous. Even with that it remains beneath 2.0 per 100,000 people, or roughly one ninth what it is in El Salvador.
A September 2022 survey by the Francisco Gavidia University asked: Do you think the current government has negotiated with gangs? 49.40% responded no, and only 13.20% said yes. 32.80% said they were unsure, and 4.60% did not respond. Only a few Salvadorans believe the Bukele administration has negotiated with gangs.
Rumours were started that he had only accomplished this through negotiations with gangs. I can’t say whether that’s untrue, but it seems less and less likely now that he’s thrown tens of thousands of them in prison for what appears to be life.

Back to El Salvador Info.
To begin with, Nayib Bukele does not have a political opposition. Bukele destroyed 30 years of two-party dominance by the traditional political parties FMLN and ARENA. The opposition has not been able to find a charismatic leader that can compete with President Bukele’s popularity.
Then there is the resentment Salvadorans feel towards the traditional political parties and the administrations that, for over 20 years, couldn’t control the country’s violence and stole millions of dollars from public funds.
Lastly, there is the Bukele marketing machine. The president has an excellent marketing system that controls the narrative that continues to make his administration look good to Salvadorans.
Between the sudden stratospheric rise, the good propaganda, and the ostensibly pro-Israel stance, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to having some slight reservations around Bukele. I think that his personal story needs to be studied in great detail, probably by someone like FTN, so that we can really know what’s going on with this guy. It’s possible that we have much to learn from his electoral success.
However, as far as the policies go, everything he’s done is just common sense strongman stuff that the parasite class hates, but the people love.
Tens of thousands of suspected gangsters have been rounded up in the country under a state of emergency following a spike in murders and other violent crime.
The jail will eventually hold more than 40,000 people.
Pictures show the first massive group of inmates – tattooed and barefoot – being led to the facility in shackles.
They weren’t just rounded up. They were intentionally humiliated in front of cameras.
You can excuse the images of them running while hunched over as simply due to the restraints of the handcuffs, but the El Salvadorian Government is clearly and intentionally taking pictures of them being abused, and I love it.
How else can you explain something like this? Get a bunch of tattoo’d scum into a corner and make them huddle together for no reason. Artistic oppression, and exactly the kind of creativity that I like to see out of a leader.
The prisoners are left sitting on the floor with their hands behind their shaven heads, stacked closely together, before being taken to their cells.
President Bukele tweeted that the first 2,000 people were transferred “at dawn, in a single operation” to the Center for the Confinement of Terrorism, which he says is the largest jail in the Americas.
“This will be their new house, where they will live for decades, all mixed, unable to do any further harm to the population.”
I like what I’m hearing, and I like what I’m seeing even more. Get this scum off the streets and get the police to abuse them on their way into the prison. This is exactly the opposite of what our Government does, because our Government is run by parasites who think it’s funny that the little people can’t walk around without getting stabbed by criminals of colour or druggies looking for a fix.
This on the other hand is perfection.
The mega-prison – in Tecoluca, 74 kilometers (46 miles) southeast of the capital San Salvador – comprises eight buildings. Each has 32 cells of about 100 square meters (1,075 square feet) to hold “more than 100” prisoners, the government says.
The cells only have two sinks and two toilets each.
Only two toilets for one hundred inmates. Poor thugs.
Except, not even that poor. Airplanes have fewer toilets per passenger, the BBC is just looking for a reason to whine on behalf of the scum of the earth.
President Bukele declared a “war on gangs” last March, passing emergency measures which have been extended several times.
The emergency powers have been controversial as they limit some constitutional rights, such as allowing the security forces to arrest suspects without a warrant.
More than 64,000 suspects have been arrested in the anti-crime drive.
In other words, the El Salvadorian Government is doing what our Government tries to do to populists. Don’t expect a BBC piece on Christian Secor getting a sentence many multiple time longer than the maximum allowed, just because he dared set foot in the nation’s capital. Don’t expect a BBC piece on Rob Hoogland being told that he would be thrown in jail if he referred to his daughter (groomed by trannies) as his daughter in the privacy of his own home. “Muh authoritarianism,” is a dishonest whine of parasites who should have their heads mounted on sticks.
Human rights organisations have argued that innocent people have been caught up in the policy, and some of those held have reported being subjected to “cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment”.
Good thing that no innocent people ever get caught up in violence done by murderous criminals, you fake human rights faggots. Maybe focus on doing something about the mass murder propagandists who lie us into wars not facing any repercussions instead of whining on behalf of criminals.
But Bukele’s anti-gang push remains popular with Salvadorans.
President Bukele dismissed the concerns of international human rights organisations and foreign governments over the “state of exception” he introduced nine months ago, following a weekend of extreme gang violence in which more than 70 people were killed.
The emergency measure granted the police sweeping new powers, including the right to detain suspects without due process. Mr Bukele told the officers it was supported by more than 95% of Salvadoreans.
It is undeniably popular.
“It is undeniably the democratic will of the people, but we’ll ignore that and pretend that some NGOs are authorities on human rights because they claim to be and whine about Bukele.”
Murder rates are falling to new lows. Neighbourhoods which have endured years of extortion and violence at the hands of the brutal MS-13 and 18th Street gangs are enjoying an unprecedented period of calm.
However, El Salvador’s prison population is now proportionally the highest in the world. Already overcrowded facilities are heaving under the new intake, prompting the government to announce the construction of a major new penitentiary.
There’s a solution for overcrowding.
Crime is one of the most universally unpopular things in our society. Having pro-crime (of colour) positions is one of the reasons why our (((Democracy Class))) is so detestable, and they aren’t about to change their position on that anytime soon.
